Mistress Clarissa Allyson is the High Warden of the Yellow Rose and leader of the Order of the Yellow Rose, a sacred organization based in the Citadel of Valls in Damara. A childhood friend of King Frostmantle and the late Lord Williams, she is a woman of fierce intellect and iron will who has spent her lifetime buried in ancient tomes studying the lost Netherese Empire and the Infernal Machine. She never trusted Lord Williams’ new wife, Lady Elysra, after the previous Lady Williams grew sick and died under suspicious circumstances.

The Order of the Yellow Rose guards one of the Keys of Shorthagot and the planar gateway connected to the entity. Clarissa has spent her life studying the Netherese origins of the Infernal Machine.

The King’s brother and Lord of Westwatch. Geoffrey sent the party to find Clarissa with a sealed letter. Clarissa knows Geoffrey well through the Damaran court but considers the King her true childhood friend, not Geoffrey.
