Vladimir Horngaard is the former commander of the Order of the Silver Dragon, now a revenant consumed by hatred. He and his knights once fought against Strahd but were defeated. Rather than finding peace, Vladimir's burning hatred keeps him and his fellow knights trapped as revenants in the ruined mansion of Argynvostholt.

Godfrey serves under Vladimir's command but disagrees with his refusal to allow Strahd's destruction.
