Izek Strazni is the captain of the guard in Vallaki and Baron Vallakovich's most trusted protector. He has a monstrous, oversized arm wreathed in barbs that can conjure fire — the result of a mysterious transformation during childhood. Izek is intimidating and fiercely loyal to the Baron, using his fearsome presence to keep order in the town.

Izek serves as the Baron's loyal captain of the guard and protector of Vallaki. The Vallakovich household took Izek in as a youth and gave him purpose.

Izek is secretly Ireena's biological brother, separated in childhood. He obsessively commissions dolls in her likeness.

Izek commissions Blinsky to craft dolls resembling Ireena, though he can't explain his obsession.
